چکیده
A bridge approach, an essential component connecting a relatively rigid and more flexible track on subgrade soil, is one of the most common types transition zones. The tracks deck often undergo significantly lower deformations under loading compared to approach tracks. Even though there have been numerous efforts understand remediate performance deficiencies emerging from differences in stiffness between issues such as differential settlement unsupported hanging crossties exist. It difficult expensive try different combinations mitigation methods field. Therefore, computational modeling becomes vital importance study dynamic responses railroad approaches. In this study, field instrumentation data were collected substructure US Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor After analyses model implementation comprehensive data, advanced train-track-bridge introduced validated paper. Nonlinear relative displacements varying contact forces observed crosstie ballast are adequately considered model. then used simulate Amtrak passenger train entering open generate typical transient better behavior trends simulated results show that near location experiences much larger deformations, impact forces, vibration velocities accelerations. analysis tool evaluate at approaches with nonlinear support; it intended eventually aid developing improved design maintenance practices.

Effects of track characteristics on dynamic responses of train-bridge systems
High speed trains are an indispensable part of rapid transportation systems in many countries. As the fastest means of transport on the ground, these trains are extremely sensitive to the terrain and track conditions. Geometrical irregularities and mechanical characteristics of the track, together with inconsistencies in the lane (including bridges that support the track) are considered importa...

ABSTRCT: Elastic bearings have been used on simply supported bridges on high-speed railway in Taiwan to isolate train-induced vibration. However, their influence on dynamic behavior of the vehicle and bridge has not been fully investigated, and their vibration attenuation has not been quantificationally discussed. In this study, spring-damper elements with 12 degrees of freedom are established ...
متن کاملEffects of Support Conditions on Dynamic Behaviour and Seismic Response of Ghadir Bridge
There are a number of parameters influencing the dynamic and seismic response of bridges. Of these, two important parameters warranting special notice include: the properties of the neoperenes in the state of connection between girders and columns and the shear stiffness of underlying soil in the level of bridge substructure’s connectivity to the ground. In
this paper, the effects of these ...

A generation method for the rail random irregularity with arbitrary wavelength interval (WI) is developed, and its accuracy and efficiency are demonstrated. Then a moving wheel-rail-bridge interaction element is derived to establish the finite element equations of motion for the train-rail-bridge interaction system, and the flow chart of assembly and calculation for the system equations is give...
